Welcome to My Blog!

Welcome!  Here I will be showing you my latest calorie filled goodies I've created and designed!  Along with giving helpful tips that can help anyone become an expert cake decorator in no time! :)
I'll begin by showing one of my pride enjoys - THE IPHONE CAKE!
This cake is a regular sheet cake, covered in buttercream icing and then a layer of fondant icing.  Since the fondant icing is so difficult to color, the color you see was literally painted on with paintbrushes.  All the charging cord is also made of fondant.  I made this cake for my husband as his grooms cake at our wedding.  I set the times and dates on all the cake to the time when we got married.  Pretty clever right?  Well a BIG piece of advice I would like to give is, FONDANT ICING DOES NOT TASTE GOOD.  It has a very gummy consistency.  So if you plan to use it, or order a cake with it, please be aware that you are ordering for beauty, not for taste.  Having said that, its very easy to peel off so that is normally what people do when they are going to eat it.  Also, with using this much food coloring to get a dark color like black, you have to be very careful because it will most likely turn peoples mouths black if they eat the fondant :)
But nevertheless, the cake was a hit!  Thanks for reading!

I wonder if the iCake costs twice as much as a regular cake of equal value?
